Top Nigerian squash player, Babatunde Ajagbe has been elected the new president of Professional Squash Players Association of Nigeria, PSPAN.

In a release signed by Barrister Fred Ladapo and seen by Top Media Nigeria, Professional Squash Association (PSA) player, Ajagbe, 30, garnered 37 votes to emerge victorious against Abdulrahaman Olanrewaju Yusuff.

Kally Yashim is the new Vice-President, while Eko 2012 medalist, Wasiu Bello is trusted with being the association’s new image-maker.

In an exclusive chat with Top Media Nigeria, Wasiu assures: “We are ready to change the image of the sport and players positively, speak for the players and promote PSPAN – local and international.”

PSPAN was formed on November 25, 2012 in Lagos state by squash players to bring about regular competitions for players.

This was as a result of the near-absence of regular competitions in the squash circuit.

The body is responsible for releasing national open tournament points. The points is used to rank squash players in the country.
