Top Media Nigeria reports that Sanchez is one of the players Evra expects to depart United during the summer. The Frenchman questioned Sanchez’s motivations for joining the club in the first place ahead of local rivals and Premier League champions Manchester City.
“Some players only come for the money, I am not afraid to say that,” Evra says in an interview with former colleague, Gary Neville on Sky Sports.
“I have nothing against him, but Sanchez, when I saw the deal, that’s when I thought the Manchester United history just went down.
“He had Manchester City, they were offering less money but he was going to play better football than United – I’m sorry about that, but City play better football and Guardiola will improve him.
“So I want to know what is the real reason for choosing United? Don’t tell me he loved Manchester United when he was a kid.
“It’s either the money or he wanted to be the number one, take the No 7 shirt and be the star.”
Meanwhile, it is rumoured that Sanchez could quit United for Juventus.
According to CalciooMercato, Sanchez’s camp have taken the first steps in trying to seek a move away from Manchester.
The report state that Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevich has supposedly met with Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici.
Sanchez’s salary has been one of the biggest talking points of his tenure with the club.
Earning close to £400,000-a-week, Sanchez is the highest earner in the league.
United failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League, finishing outside of the top four this season following a positive start to life at United for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
And although Sanchez has produced the worst form of his career at Manchester United, he may be pushing for a move to a new club in search of top-tier European football next term.
