Nollywood star actress, Funke Akindele Bello has reportedly given birth to twins.

Funke Akindele, star of hit TV series ‘Jenifa’s Diary’, welcomed the children in the US with her husband, Abdul Rasheed Bello, a singer/producer better known as JJC Skillz.

Her colleague, Mercy Aigbe, confirmed the arrival of the twins on Instagram on Saturday.

Aigbe described it as the “best news of the year” while congratulating Akindele and JJC Skillz.

She writes: “Jehovah Overdo!…. Twins. To God be all the Glory. Congrats @funkejenifaakindele and @jjcskillz on the arrival of your twins. Iya Ibeji mo ba e yo @funkejenifaakindele.”

Similarly, another celebrity, Toke Makinwa also corroborated Aigbe.

Makinwa writes: “My heart is full, so happy for my people. Congrats on the arrival of our twins

“When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

“Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. … Love you both. Iya ibeji.”

Although JJC Skillz has children from past relationships, it is the first child for Akindele, 41, who has been married before.

The actress who became famous for her role in television series ‘I Need to Know’ married JJC Skillz in London in 2016.

Before then, Akindele was formerly married to Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede; the marriage was dissolved after a year due to what she described as “irreconcilable differences”.

JJC Skillz and Funke Akindele work together with Scene One Productions, makers of ‘Jenifa’s Diary’. According to JJC Skillz, it was love at first sight.

“It was an instant connection.  In fact, it was love at first sight. I saw her, she saw me and, we saw stars. From that point on, everything was aligned,” he says in an interview with Punch in 2017.
