In light of the recent cholera outbreak in Nigeria, the Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers (NIEE), Lagos State Chapter, has called for immediate action to implement the Lagos State Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Policy 2024.
Speaking on Sallah Day, Engr. Yusuf Majolagbe, Chairman of the Lagos Chapter, said there is a need for sustainable practices to combat the ongoing health crisis, TOP MEDIA reports.
“There’s a cholera outbreak in the country. As we speak, over 30 people have died nationwide, and more than 1,000 people are hospitalised and unable to celebrate Eid with us,” Engr. Majolagbe stated.
