Lagos School, MIMS, At The Top Again, Emerges First Runner-up At LEC 2024

The hall of Sherof Event Centre, Oshodi, Lagos, was filled to the brim on Saturday, June 26, 2024.

TOP MEDIA reports that it was a day to celebrate academic excellence, a crucial day to share insight, foster collaboration, and advance the quality of education.

It was a two-in-one event organised by the Lagos chapter of the  League of Muslim School Proprietors (LEAMSP).

The programme, brought together most of the proprietors of Muslim schools in Lagos state under the theme ‘Building Economic Resilience: Navigating Nigeria’s Education Economy’.

The programme was also meant to honour the best brains that distinguished themselves in the last LEC Examination organised nationwide by the institution in March 2024.

In his opening remarks, the national president of the institution, Alhaji Abdulwahid Obalakun, eulogised the performance of the best three students who made their school proud.

While delivering his welcome address, the state chapter of the association, Alhaji Mansur Akinloye Yakeen corroborated the president’s speech by praying for more knowledge and wisdom for the pupils.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of prizes for our pupil, Maryam Akande who emerged as the 1st runner-up with a 92% aggregate score in the examination. The prize presentation, which was done by the Director of the Office of Quality Assurance department, the Ministry of Primary and Basic Education, Mrs Hameedah Mojisola Saani, alongside the crème de la crème in the educational sector was received by the Chairman of MIMS Educational Services, Prince AbdulMujeeb Adesegun Ogungbayi, alongside the Secretary and Director of Academic, Mr Taiwo Lukmon Sheu and the Head of Admin and finance Mr Tijani Saheed.

The atmosphere was full of pomp for MIMS Schools because the learning institute has won several such positions in the past.
