Mims group of schools also known as MIMS Educational Service, Lagos State was at again recently, precisely on Monday, July 3, 2023, when it organised ‘A Day Principal’ and ‘A Day HM’ across its campuses.

The annual event of A – Day Principal, A Day HM, A Day Vice Principal Academics, Vice Principal Administration, Assistant HM Academics, Assistant HM Administration, A -Day Bursar, A Day Head of Department was marked with excitement in all the schools and at the headquarter in Shomolu, Lagos.
MIMS is an International Educational Consultant that runs MiMS Nursery and Primary School, Shomolu, Surulere, and MIMS Comprehensive College MCC, Somolu and Epe l, Lagos State.
While speaking to this media platform, the Board Chairman, Prince Abdulmujeeb Adesegun Ogungbayi declared that all their three Nursery and Primary schools were recognised with the honour for consecutive years, while only MIMS Comprehensive College Somolu annex won A Day Principal.
His words:
“Traditionally, A Day HM and A Day Principal is for any school under MIMS Educational Service that distinguishes itself in competitions and external examinations annually.
“To this end, the year 2022/2023 is not an exemption as four of our schools won the A-Day HM, A-Day Principal, and other managerial statuses.
“Salami Abdurahaman emerged as the A -Day Principal after scoring the highest mark in the history of UTME in the college (324/400), followed by Kolosho Alameen, who emerged as A -Day Vice Principal Academics; Mikail-Bello Aisha, A – Day Vice Principal Administration; and Olawuyi Aisha, A Day Bursar.
“A JSS 3 student, Hassan Fathia, also won Gold in Lagos Spelling B Competition, emerging as a Day HOD (Science), and was followed by Abdulkereem Muhammad Jeje.
“Our Nursery and Primary School in Shomolu also exceled in Education Training and Research Consultant written examination competition, League of Muslim School Proprietors Council Examinations, and other numerous competitions.”
TOP MEDIA reports that those that formed the A Day management team are: A Day HM, Salam Sofiyah; A Day Assistant HM, Raji Sa’ad; A Day Bursar, Owolabi Marsooda; A Day HOD1, Anjorin Muhammad; and A Day HOD 2 Qasim Elemoro Faatimo.
Furthermore, from MIMS Nursery and Primary, Surulere, pupils who made it to the A Day management team are those that also emerged victorious at various quiz competitions in the state and Surulere environs. They are Abduraheem Abduraheem Ololade as A Day HM; Abdulganiyu Robiatadawi Arike as A Day Assistant HM; Adenle Mordiyah Boluwatife as A Day Bursar; Shuaib Fareed Olufemi as A Day HOD 1; and Sulaiman Ummulkutum Eniola as A Day HOD 2.
Students of Anur Nursery and Primary School of MIMS Educational Service also shone during the period under review. They are A – Day HM Raji Khadijat; A Day Assistant HM, Makinde Fatimah; A Day Bursar Surakat Raheemat; A Day HOD 1, Ayeisimoju Abdurahaman; and A – Day HOD 2, Jooda Muhammad.
In the virtual address of the Proprietor of MIMS Group of Schools, Professor Ismail Ayotunde Adelopo, a leading scholar of Accounting and Finance in the United Kingdom (UK), he congratulated the entire management team of the school and wished them all the best as they add value to the life of the pupils who are projected to be among global leaders.
Also, the occasion witnessed addresses by the A Day Principal and A Day HM to their colleagues on the Assembly ground, visitation to all classes, and the Board of Directors, wherein they were given advice by the Board Chairman, Prince Abdulmujeeb Adesegun Ogungbayi. Prince Ogungbayi commended them and gave them the target of becoming Ph.D. holders at the age of 24 and Professors of various fields of academics by 35.
The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) across the group of schools were around to encourage the A Day HMs and A Day Principal and others.
PTA Chairmen and the PTA of two of the four schools gave the A Day Management Team financial gifts to encourage the pupils.
