A foremost pro-democracy group in Ogun state, Good Governance Advocates (GoGA), has sent congratulatory messages to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and its leaders on their resounding victory at the just-concluded local government election held on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

Ogungbayi said:

The victory of the All Progressive Congress APC across all the 20 Local Governments in Ogun State is a deserving one because we saw it coming, and it’s a commendable victory that is worth our getting together to celebrate Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA, and all the 16 councillors. His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, the Executive Governor of Ogun State and Her Excellency, Engr.  Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, and all the leaders of the party have prepared very well for the elections and should be commended for a job well done. My caring mother of Ogun State and political leader of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government really gave a good account of himself by ensuring that all leaders in local government come together for the electioneering campaign,  under the Chairmanship of Hon. SesanFagbayi, the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in OgunState, I, therefore, call my elected Executive Chairman to set the ball rolling on his 5 points agenda without wasting any time if he must write his name in the book of history in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government and Ogun State in general.”

The coordinator of the group in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government,  Osho Rasheed, said the door of GoGA of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government chapter is wide open for collaboration in order to ensure the success of Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA, Mrs Wunmi Abosede Balogun and all his 16 councillors in office.

The Secretary General of the pro-democracy in Ogun state, Mr. Amoo Olalekan, while addressing the press, said, “Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA is a world-class professional who has served as Transitional Committee Chairman during the first year of Governor Dapo Abiodun CON and I am sure the dividend of democracy will reach all the Communities that deserve it within his stay in office.” Amoo asserted

TOP MEDIA recalls that the Good Governance Advocates GoGA has resolved to support the person they described as the most prepared personality for good governance in Ogun state and the only personality who can continue from where Prince Dapo Abiodun CON will end his tenure in 2027, the immediate past High Commissioner to United Kingdom, His Excellency, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola OFR who has served Ogun State and Nigeria meritoriously as Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government,  Secretary to Ogun State Government, Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Ambassador to United Kingdom.
