Ogun: Good Governance Advocates Pay Visit To APC Chieftain, Adesoji Olusesi

A foremost pro-democracy group in Ogun, Good Governance Advocates (GoGA), has paid a condolence visit to a top chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Alhaji Hon. Dr. Prince Surajudeen Adesoji Olusesi.

GoGA members in Ogun under the chairmanship of Ambassador Mudasiru Quadri Olanrewaju recently visited Olusesi at his Ota residence to condole him over the demise of his beloved wife, Alhaja Chief Fausat Iyabode Olusesi.

Alhaja Iyabode, the Iya Suna of Ota Central Mosque, Ota, Ogun State, died aged 80.

GoGA was led by one of its leaders and the Chairman of GoGA Ogun West Senatorial District,  Prince Adesegun Ogungbayi.

The prayer session was led by the GoGA Coordinator in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun state,  Comrade Abdurasheed Osho, and the group’s Financial Secretary in the LGA, Comrade Afolabi.

After the prayer session for the deceased, the widower, and the Olusesi family, Prince Adesegun reported on the group’s “noble efforts” in Ogun State.

Ogungbayi said:

“We want to use this opportunity to inform you of our resolution to support the most prepared personality for good governance in Ogun State and the only personality that can continue from where Prince Dapo Abiodun CON will end his tenure in 2027, the immediate past High Commissioner to United Kingdom,  His Excellency, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola OFR who has served Ogun State and Nigeria meritoriously as Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government,  Secretary to Ogun State Government, Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Ambassador to United Kingdom”.

Responding, Prince Olusesi commended Prince Ogungbayi for his effort in incorruptibly championing the course of good governance in Ogun State.

Prince Olusesi said:

“Prince Adesegun Ogungbayi is an uncommon son of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government.  He is a well-known Prince of Ileshi Royal Family of Ota and a leading Prince of Owode-Tetiku Kingdom and, therefore, I am for whatever he stands for any time.

“So I want all the executive of good governance advocates in Ogun State, Ogun West Senatorial District, and Ado-Odo Ota Local Government not to disturb themselves but to keep supporting the illustrious Prince of Awori Land of Ogun State.

He was a former National President of Awori National Consultative Council and an astute educational expert in private education in Nigeria, a mentor, and trainer of thousands of graduates across the world.

As for His Excellency, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola OFR, your group has resolved to support him in succeeding Governor Abiodun. You have put the right peg in the right hole for choosing him over all candidates that are carrying money around Ogun State in the quest to succeed the incumbent governor.”

TOP MEDIA reports that in the team of Prince Ogungbayi were Comrade Amoo Olalekan, the State Secretary General of GoGA, Ogun State; Mrs. Ketiku Oluwatoyin, the GoGA State Treasurer;  Comrade Osho Rasheed, GoGA Coordinator in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government; Comrade Afolabi Adewale, GoGA Financial Secretary in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government; Comrade Femi Olawuyi, GoGA Publicity Secretary; and Comrade Wasiu Taiwo, GoGA Secretary General.
