Less than 30 days to the 2023 general elections, the Spokesperson of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in the North-East region, Muhammad Pantami, other officials, and their loyalists have left the party to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
TOP MEDIA reports that addressing a press conference on Tuesday in Bauchi State, Pantami flanked by other officials of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) declared their support for PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
According to him, they are exiting the Labour Party due to lack of internal democracy and tribalism.
“Based on the aforementioned issues raised, we the leaders, stakeholders about four million voters in the North East states of Taraba, Adamawa, Bauchi Gombe, and Borno resolved to quit from the LP and resolved to declare our full support to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP,” Pantami said.
