Top Nigerian squash players will participate in the maiden edition of the John Hett Sports Foundation (JHSF) that is to be held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, from October 25 to October 28, 2023.
According to the anticipated entry list of the closed satellite event, Onaopemipo Adegoke, Kehinde Samuel, Rofiat Abdulazeez, and Busayo Olatunji would take part in this championship.
“We envisage that this event is going to be a standout; we are trying to create something different in squash in the country,” said Wasiu Bello, the Tournament Director (TD), while talking to TOP MEDIA. Bello added that the reason for coming up with the initiative is to get Nigeria’s top five players to the world map of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) top 50, as well as promote them locally and worldwide.
TOP MEDIA reports that to promote top squash talent in the country, both locally and internationally, JHSF was launched in August 2022.
