“Hi everybody in Nigeria. My name is Lars Lagerback, I have come to wish you all the best in the World Cup coming up in Russia. I have some good memories with the Nigerian National team and all the friends I got when I was in Nigeria. So I hope you prepare well, everything is going alright. I really look forward to seeing you playing in Russia even if I will be in Sweden watching from the TV,” he says.
Since his short-term contract with the African side expired, the Swede has gone on to manage the likes of Iceland and Norway.
