‘Wizkid Is The Greatest Artiste In The World Right Now’

Wizkid continues to put Nigeria on the spotlight, with his latest trendsetting filling out of the O2 Arena

UK rapper of Nigerian origin, Skepta has declared Nigerian act, Wizkid as the greatest artiste in the world presently.

Wizkid was the headliner at London’s 20,000-capacity O2 Arena for the AfroRepublik concert on Saturday.

The reigning singer had in September 2017 sold out at the Royal Albert Hall in the same London, but he gave yet another historic performance in front of a packed crowd.

Before Wizkid came on stage to own the night, Nigerian artistes such as Mr Eazi, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, and Maleek Berry had delivered topnotch performances.

The UK model who caused controversy on her last visit to Nigeria, Naomi Campbell, introduced Starboy and ‘Wizzy’ performed hit songs like ‘Manya’, ‘Nowo’, ‘Final’, ‘In My Bed’, ‘Caro’, and his most recent release, ‘Fake Love’.

He also performed classics like ‘No Lele’, ‘Tease me’, ‘Don’t dull’, ‘Azonto’, ‘Pakuromo’ and ‘Love my baby’.

At some point, the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner invited Tiwa Savage, whom he described as “someone special”, for a joint performance of their collaboration ‘Ma Lo’.
Skepta, later joined the Nigerian superstar on stage for the remix of ‘Ojuelegba’ which was backed up by a full choir.

Following his set, Skepta described Wizkid as “the greatest artiste in the world right now”.

Sealing the show with a double dose of Soco and Daddy Yo, Wizkid promised fans that he will “make this happen again next year”.
