A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Pearl Rose Foundation (PRF), in a bid to cushion the effect of the worrisome economic hardship in Nigeria, has provided essential palliatives to support the most deserving.
TOP MEDIA reports that this distribution of the palliatives, mainly edibles, to about 40 beneficiaries, was held in March. It covered Mosan-Okunola community in Lagos State.
According to a statement by PRF‘s Director, Dr Isa Elegbede, the gesture was to tackle the impact of inflation on businesses and households in Lagos’ largest Local Government Area (LGA) – Alimosho.
He said.
“Mosan Okunola is the hosting Local Council Development Area (LCDA). The palliative is in response to the economic hardship and high food inflation in Alimosho local government.
“Our foundation is planning to extend her social welfare beyond Alimosho to the core areas of the state. However, we need financial support of patriotic individuals to solve socio-economic challenges in the country.”
A beneficiary, Gabriel Adesanmi, conveyed his gratitude to Pearl Rose Foundation for remembering them during this period of economic hardship.
He prayed for blessings and strength for the leaders of the NGO, expressing hope that all their heart desires would be granted.
Chika Nwosu also extended his appreciation to PRF, highlighting their assistance and material support to Mosan-Okunola community.
