MIMS Comprehensive College has continued to sustain its tradition of academic excellence as one of its students, Akintunde Moosa, clinched the Second Runner-Up position at the prestigious National Academic Excellence Initiative (AEI) 2024 Scholars’ Day Competition.
TOP MEDIA reports that Akintunde scored 74% in 28:44 minutes to achieve this feat.
Close behind him was another student from the school, Usman Jamaldeen, who secured the fourth position with a total score of 70%.
The National Annual Award/Scholars’ Day 2024 took place on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024.
The virtual event featured special dignitaries and renowned lecturers from around the world, including HRM, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr.) W. A. Ogungbayi, the Onitetiku Owode Ota Awori Kingdom, Ogun State, Mr. Jamiu Alli-Balogun, the Lagos State Honourable Commissioner for Basic & Secondary Education, Prince Adebowale Adeoye, Tutor General/Permanent Secretary, Education District 1 of Lagos State Ministry of Education, Lagos, Dr. Sofiat Olaosebikan, Lecturer of Algorithms & Complexity, School of Computer Science, University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK, Dr. Abayomi Motajo, Lecturer at the Social Science Department, University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK, Engr. Faheed Olajide, the Director of Academic Excellence Initiative AEI, and a host of other academic luminaries.
The Principal of MIMS Comprehensive College (MCC) saluted all five representatives of the college at the Scholars’ Day Competition 2024, especially Moosa Akintunde, who emerged as the Second Runner-Up.
The Director of Academics at the Great Citadel of Learning, Mr. Taiwo L.S., praised Akintunde Moosa for his impressive performance at the National Scholars’ Day competition and wished him all the best in his future endeavours.
He also congratulated the Academic Excellence Initiative (AEI) for nurturing outstanding scholars who are excelling worldwide.
