The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta Muslim Alumni Association (MAPAMA) has rejoiced with and congratulated the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, Joint Admissions Matriculation Board, Prof. Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, on his recent retirement at the University of Ilorin and 70th birthday.
TOPMEDIA.NG reports that MAPAMA’s message was contained in a congratulatory letter, personally signed by the association’s national president, Prince Taofeek Oyeniyi, on Thursday.
In a press statement signed by MAPAMA’s Head of Media and Publicity Committee, Tajudeen Balogun, the group’s president described the coincidence of the two occasions as a favour from Almighty Allah.
Oyeniyi’s letter reads in part: “Sir, yours has been an exemplary life, worthy of emulation in all spheres of life. We are honoured to have known you as a Leader and Mentor. We note with pride your distinguished service in academia for more than four decades, in Nigeria and beyond.
“Your tenure as the JAMB Registrar is well-acclaimed for its many innovations, integrity, and discipline that have turned the hitherto opaque admission process and insolvent organisation into a vibrant, responsive, and transparent organisation.
“We pray to Almighty Allah to continue to shower his mercies on you, make your latter years better than the former, and grant you long life in service of Islam and humanity, aameen. Illal amaam, in sha Allaah.
“Again, accept our heartfelt congratulations, sir.”
