As the 2023 election draws near, the Spokesperson of the Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Festus Keyamo (SAN), on Friday said reports of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State’s alleged support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, is “an important milestone”.
TOP MEDIA reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers Presidential Council had identified Tinubu as Governor Wike’s choice for the forthcoming election.
The council in a letter dated February 1 said Wike had already directed all local government chairmen, his aides and party executive members to deliver Tinubu at the poll.
Reacting, Keyamo, also the Minister of State, Labour and Employment, wrote on his verified Twitter handle: “This is an important milestone in the chronicles of a crushing defeat foretold.
“We shall all look back and point at the rebellion of the G5 as a turning point in the downward spiral of the PDP after February 25th. This is the end game. Jungle don fully mature for Rivers.”
