I am really happy to meet you, elder Prince Adesegun Abdulmujeeb Ogungbayi. But can I know your role in the ongoing campaign of the All Progressives Congress?
Thanks very much, editor. I am one of the campaign leaders of Atan-Iju-Ilogbo LCDA under the Chairmanship of Alhaji Hon. Chief Jamiu Ajayi and also one the Assistants to the Director General of Ilogbo Campaign Team. We have been campaigning for our party, All Progressive Congress APC, and particularly Alhaji Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA, our chairmanship candidate, and Hon. Wunmi Abosede Balogun, the Vice Chairmanship candidate of the party and my Councilorship candidate, Arakunrin Gbadamosi Mutairu Akanji ACA, ACIB.
On my role on the ongoing APC Campaign?
We have been campaigning around all the 16 wards in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government and the 56 units of Ilogbo Ward. I pay more attention to my LCDA and my Ilogbo ward in particular since after the flag-off of the campaign where the Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Campaign Chairman, Hon Sesan Fagbayi and all LCDA Campaign Chairmen were unveiled to the world. We started LCDA Campaign from Atan Ward and from there to Iju ward and ended it in my Ilogbo ward where I and our Ward Chairman, Chief Olayinka Adeniyi aka Aleloju, Hon. Jamiu Ajayi and Alhaja Hon. Chief Waliyah Wemimo Ogunbiyi welcomed them, and from there we have been moving round all communities, associations and groups in Ilogbo like the traditional rulers, marketers, CDAs, to seek for votes and they all promised to vote massively come 16th November, 2024 for our candidates.
Can we know why Ado-Odo Ota Local Government voters should vote for your candidates, especially your chairmanship candidate?
My good people of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government are bound to vote massively for Honourable Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA because he has been fully part of the community development, economic advancement, youth advocates and general emancipation of our people for more than two decades. My uncommon chairmanship candidate is a world-class chartered accountant and Fellow of Institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria that has all what it takes to be accountable to the people and also ensure that the dividend of democracy reaches out to the citizens of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government. He is also an uncommon personality in the local government and particularly when he served as the Transition Committee Chairman years back. Then, he promoted sustainable development and community engagement to the topmost level in the history of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government governance. He partnered with Convenant University to combat the spread of covid-19 in the community. He also collaborated with the university to promote sustainable development goals by focusing on clean water, sanitation, and sustainable communities. He uses his office to reconstruct blocks of classrooms to different communities during his tenure. He created huge opportunities for youth and women and is bound to add uncommon value to all the communities if voted for massively on the 16th November, 2024. My APC Chairmanship candidate is highly credible compared to the candidates of other parties. As I have said earlier he is a former Chairman of one of the leading Community Development Association in the Local government which means he knows the people and understands our people needs in totality.
Can you tell the world about your ward councillor and why he will win the forthcoming Local Government Election in your ward?
My Ilogbo ward Councillor, Arakunrin Gbadamosi Mutairu Akanji ACA, ACIB is a quintessential hard-working youth and Community leader that both youth and elders love most for his philanthropical roles for more than a decade. He is an accomplished finance professional, a dedicated politician and devout Muslim with a solid academic background and extensive experience across multiple sectors. He holds an HND in Banking and Finance (Upper Credit) from Federal Polytechnic Ede and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. My candidate became an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) in the year 2013, earning the ACIB designation. My candidate further expanded his expertise by becoming an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 2024. His professional journey includes Inventory Officer at Sunlek Investment, experience at Access Bank, and significant exposure to auditing and taxation at Orekoya Wasiu Olalekan & Co, Chartered Accountants and Tax Practitioners. As CEO of Gbadamosi Farms and Agro Allied Services, he leads an enterprise focused on catfish rearing and broiler production. He is also a partner at MG&A Accounting Associates, where his financial expertise is highly valued. Politically, Gbadamosi has been a committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) since 2015 and today he is my party’s Ward Councillorship flagbearer in the upcoming local government election He is currently pursuing an MSc in Finance at Lagos State University (LASU), aiming to further deepen his knowledge and skills. He is bound to win massively on the 16th of November, 2024, because all the good people of all the 56 Polling units see him as part of them base on his financial and moral contribution to most of the CDAs till date. He his a great sponsor of education of indigents in Ilogbo Ward and environs.
How will you convince me about your party campaign workability leading to success in the forthcoming election?
I really appreciate your valuable questions at this point, our party All Progressive Congress APC electioneering campaign is bound to be a big success because it’s headed by the most cool headed leader in APC and Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism , Hon. Sesan Fagbayi, who has formed the LCDA Campaign Team through which we have been reaching out to the communities from ward to ward with traditional rulers palace, Community leaders offices, market associations office, as a point of call and with that our campaign will surely yield huge results with massive results. The flag-off of our campaign was witnessed by all who is who in All Progressive Congress APC Ado-Odo Ota Local Government. Some of whom are Senator Akin Odunsi, Hon. Chief Durojaiye Ayedogbon. That’s impressive! Elder Prince, sir. What is your expectation on the 16th November, 2024 from the people of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government?
My expectation is massive votes for Alhaji Hon Chief Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA, Hon. Abosede Balogun, the Vice Chairmanship candidate, and all the 16 councillors of all the 16 wards.
But Prince, sir, what gave you the conviction that your party will win massively?
It’s the level of hard-working of His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun CON, the Executive Governor of Ogun State and Her Excellency, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State in Ogun state since our party won the Governorship election last year. They totally provide the required leadership for us in Ogun state and Ado-Odo Ota Local Government in particular leading to excellent electioneering campaigns in all the 16 wards of Ado-OdoOtaLocalGovernment. And apart from that all our candidates from the Chairmanship candidate to the 16 councillors are exceptional personalities they are well grouded in their wards and Units. So, I am highly convinced of sweet victory come 16th November, 2024.
