Monday, 25th November 2024, marked a new dawn in my life as I was honoured and elected the Honorable Leader of the 9th Legislative Council of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.
I express my heartfelt gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting me the grace to witness this day. All glory and adoration are due to Him alone.
I extend my sincere appreciation to the leader of our great party, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the privilege and unwavering support. You are indeed a remarkable governor, and I am deeply grateful.
My special thanks go to our esteemed mother and Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako Oyedele. Mummy, your confidence in me and your unwavering support mean the world to me, and I remain truly indebted.
To my godfather, Hon. Tunji Akinosi, FNSE (Member, House of Representatives), I cannot thank you enough for the trust, support, and confidence you have consistently shown. You have been a steadfast pillar of support for my ambitions.
I want to acknowledge the contributions of our apex leaders, especially Senator Kamal Akin Odunsi, Hon. Jide Ojuko, Hon. Kazeem Salako, Hon. Sessan Fagbayi (Honorable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism), Hon. Sheriff Abiodun (Majority Leader, OGHA), Hon. Micheal Fasinu, Hon. Layiwola Taiwo, Chief Durojaiye Ayedogbon, Hon. Nurudeen Akinpelu, and many others.
A special thanks to the Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Lawal, FCA, for his immense support. I also extend my profound gratitude to the 15 honorable councillors whose overwhelming support has brought us this victory. I will not let you down.
I deeply appreciate Hon. Oluwemimo Waliat T Ogunbiyi, the Women Leader of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government. Mama, your tireless efforts and unrelenting dedication to this struggle are priceless. I am also thankful to Hon. Kola Salako for your invaluable support.
A big thanks to all our traditional rulers in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government with special gratitude to His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Professor Abdulkabir Adeyemi Obalanlege, the Olota of Ota Awori land and Arole Iganmode for your contributions. My unalloyed thanks to my Royal Fathers: His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Dr Olufemi Ojugbele JP, the Onilogbo Asowo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba Dr Adeyanju Akanni Wasiu Ogungbayi, the Onitetiku-Owode Otta Awori Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Alayeluwa Oba Olabode Thomas Fagbayi, the Onitigbo of Tigbo Kingdom.
To the leaders of my ward, especially my father figure, Alhaji Yakubu Ajayi, I say thank you for your steadfast support. My heartfelt thanks also go to my good brother, Alhaji Yusuf Ijaomode, for your wonderful contributions. To Hon. Lukman Lawal, a true father figure, and Hon. Jamiu Ajayi, your incredible roles will forever be remembered.
I cannot forget the vibrant youth of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, whose contributions have been immense. Deinde Lukman, you played a pivotal role. My special thanks to Dr. High-Prince Humanbeing Oyede, Akanni Oladimeji Balogun, and Bamidele Kofoworola (Simple) for your dedication and brotherly love.
A very special appreciation goes to my beloved wife, Ummul’khair Oyiza, for your unwavering support and sacrifices. You have been my rock, and I will always cherish you.
