Dr. Engr. Ibrahim Muritala, a senior engineer at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), is urging vessel owners to switch to alternative fuels to cut emissions and follow new environmental rules.
In an interview, Dr. Muritala, who works on global hydrogen strategy at ABS, said he helps clients with their sustainability goals and explores new business opportunities in the growing hydrogen market.
“My role within the sustainability team is to lead the global strategy for hydrogen at ABS by assisting our clients with their sustainability mission, while also providing new business pathways in the emerging global landscape for hydrogen and its derivatives,” he said.
The expert who is of Nigerian extraction, mentioned that he enjoys developing new solutions and processes that tackle environmental challenges and promote a more sustainable future.
“Developing innovative solutions, processes and approaches that address environmental challenges and contribute to a more sustainable future. Providing a broad-based understanding and multidisciplinary approach to our clients’ compliance needs.”
He believes that understanding and working together is key for meeting compliance needs.
