Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu’s Former Right-hand Man Hits Simon Ekpa

Uche Mefor, estranged Deputy-Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Wednesday asked a self-acclaimed factional leader of the outlawed group, Simon Ekpa, to stop deceiving Igbo people.

TOP MEDIA reports that in a two-part video posted on his verified Facebook page, Mefor accused Ekpa of deliberately endangering the civilian population in the southeast.

Recall that Ekpa had on Monday announced a ban on political gatherings in Nigeria’s southeast region.

Ekpa, who made this announcement via his YouTube page, condemned the fresh killings in the troubled Ebor, Eha-Amufu community in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area (LGA) of Enugu State.

But reacting to the announcement, Mefor said it is “delusional”.

“It is either Ekpa is making noise, apparently for him to be ‘settled, or he is already being sponsored by some politicians to destabilise Igboland for the purposes of the election,” he said.

“So we want to tell Simon and his criminal gangs that if he thinks that he has the capacity to fight war, to fight the Nigerian military, then he needs to go to the military bases, not on roadblocks that are mounted within civilian populations.”
