Ahead of the inauguration of the 10th Senate next week, Mujahid Asari Dokubo, a former Niger Delta militant leader has again justified why the South East geopolitical zone should produce the next senate president.
TOP MEDIA reports that Dokubo said the greatest number of people who want to cause trouble in Nigeria are southeast indigenes.
Dokubo stated this during a Facebook Live on Monday, June 5.
10th Senate presidency: “Southeast needs a rallying point”, Dokubo
The activist argued that the emergence of a senate president of southeast extraction would put an end to the ‘madness’ going on in that zone.
According to him, the region needs “a pillar” who will unite the Igbos, because they are currently fragmented.
“I still insist that the senate president should be given to the southeast.
“Today, the greatest number of people who want to cause trouble, are in the southeast.
“We need a pillar; we need a rallying point in the southeast.”
“What should be paramount now is how we will succeed in getting the people of Nigeria together.”
