We’ve Reduced Export Waiting Time — Customs

Customs Area Controller, CAC of Lilypond Export Command, Mohammed Babandede, has said that the creation of the Command has reduced export cargo waiting time from about two weeks to about two days now.

Disclosing this in Lagos when he played host to the newly appointed Commandant of the Nigeria Customs Traning School, NCTS, Ikeja, Haruna Hadison, Babandede said most of the obstacles faced by exporters in the past have been eliminated. Read the complete report here.

Fuel Consumption Hits 80million Litres Per Day

The consumption of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, has risen to about 80 million litres daily, pushing up subsidy on the commodity to an estimated N484bn monthly, going by latest figures from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.

An analysis of PMS weekly evacuation/dispatch data from March 4 – 10, 2023, obtained from NNPCL on Wednesday, indicated that a total of 558.83 million litres of petrol was evacuated during the period, translating to an average daily consumption of 79.83 million litres. “There’s No Agreement With Govs On Fuel Subsidy Palliatives” – FG Opens Up

The Federal Government, on Wednesday, said it has yet to harmonise efforts with states to set up palliative measures ahead of the June 2023 deadline for the discontinuation of petrol subsidy set up.

NCC Launches New Desk At Abuja Airport

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Wednesday launched a telecom consumer assistance, resolution and enquiries (Telcare) desk in the arrival lounge of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
