TOP MEDIA reports that the medical doctor in his video revealed that he suffered from a brain tumour that nearly took his sight.

In the clip, Aproko Doctor mentioned various medical terms, one of which is Aneurysm.

An aneurysm is a medical condition used to describe an abnormal bulge or ballooning in the wall of the blood vessel. It often occurs in the aorta, brain, back of the knee, intestine, or spleen. When ruptured, it can result in internal bleeding and stroke.

According to a post by Mayo Clinic on its website, symptoms of aneurysm cannot be detected without a medical diagnosis. However, there are some common symptoms, one of which is severe headaches. Other symptoms include nausea and vomiting, seizure, sensitivity to light, blurred vision, dilated pupil, numbness of one side of the face, and double vision, among others. These symptoms vary from a ruptured aneurysm to an unruptured aneurysm.

Brain aneurysms develop as a result of thinning artery walls, and can appear anywhere in the brain, especially in the arteries at the base of the brain.

Though the causes of most brain aneurysms are unknown, but a range of factors can increase it risk. Some of these factors include old age, smoking cigarettes, high blood pressure, and the use of cocaine. It is also reported to be more common in adults than in children, and in women than men.

When a brain aneurysm ruptures, the bleeding last for only a few seconds, which can cause direct damage to the surrounding cells, and can damage or kill the other cells.

Other complications include re-bleeding, narrowed blood vessels in the brain, and a buildup of fluid within the brain.
