Princewill Chimezie Richards, the Leader of the Biafra Nations League (BnL), says he does not have a preferred candidate in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election in Nigeria.
TOP MEDIA reports that Richards however projected that if the 2023 election is not compromised, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will emerge victorious — barring the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ‘deciding to cede power to the West’.
“Whoever wins will focus on himself and his family. Nigeria can never be better. That is why I don’t believe that an Igbo man can change Nigeria because even if Peter Obi (Labour Party candidate) wins, the North has an overwhelming majority to frustrate him,” Richards told the press.
“I learnt from what happened to former president Goodluck Jonathan. Those supporting Peter Obi only want to try luck [sic].
“Bola Tinubu (All Progressives Congress, APC) himself might get an MKO Abiola treatment (Late Abiola is the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993, presidential election which was annulled by General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, IBB).
“If they don’t rig it, Atiku will defeat them, unless the ruling party (APC) decides to cede power to the West.”
