In recognition of his contributions to the growth of Ifako-Ijaiye, Honourable Adewale Temitope, OON (JP), member of Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, bagged a ‘Man of Excellence Award’.
TOP MEDIA reports that the award was presented to Temitope by Cerebrology International, a global organisation solely dedicated to the intellectual sustainability of human dignity. Hon. Temitope was honoured for “his selfless service” to his constituency, Lagosians, and for “promoting human dignity”.
Speaking during the presentation of the award at the Constituency Office, Sola Odumosu, Founder of Cerebrology International, commended Hon Temitope ‘for being an exceptional leader and a good example of youth in leadership’.
He said:
“We emphasise human dignity, and that is what we are promoting in Cerebrology. If you don’t have dignity, you can’t perform. He is a man who has shown exemplary dignity in all his dealings. When you contribute immensely to the growth and development of the people, you have automatically shown you are a man of value, and that is why this is a meritorious award.”
Akinleye Segun, the Media Head, who received the award on behalf of Hon Adewale Temitope, thanked Cerebrology International for recognising his principal’s “numerous achievements”.
He also used the opportunity to highlight some of Hon Temitope’s accomplishments, with emphasis on “his giant stride” in ensuring that Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government becomes the most educated LG in Lagos State through the ATA-EI initiative. Akinleye said the programme has given out over 2,500 free JAMB forms to deserving students within the LG, as well as over 750 free GCE forms.
He said:
“On behalf of Hon Adewale Temitope Adedeji, I receive this meritorious and deserving ‘Man of Excellence’ award.
“As you have rightly said, Honourable Adewale is a man of dignity dedicated to seeing his constituents happy. Beyond the list of achievements you mentioned, he has done a lot more. You will find his footprints in areas of infrastructural development, empowerment, education, and health, among others. As the Chairman, House Committee on Transportation, he championed the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Bill 2021.
“So, you can be rest assured that Hon Adewale Temitope will continue to do more for his constituents and Lagos state at large.”
