“Take the following seriously: acquiring new skills, adapting to change, and staying curious,” Engr. Lamidi said on Sunday, July 16, while giving the keynote address.

“I am charging you to imbibe resilience and embrace challenges. The road ahead may not always be smooth and may present challenges, nevertheless, embrace failures as learning opportunities, and persevere through difficulties.”

He added:

“I implore you to embrace the road ahead with optimism, determination, and a growth mindset. While trusting your Creator, please believe in yourselves and your abilities to overcome challenges and achieve your goals.”

Another speaker at the event, Mr. Musa Al-Ameen, the Founder of the Students Community Interactive Centre (SCIC), inspired confidence in the young audience.

“So far as you are still breathing, you can still achieve everything good in life,” he said.

Furthermore, he laid emphasis on desisting from associating with people who are morally deficient, adding that as believers, Muslim students should fraternise with individuals who can guide them better.
