“You Now Lead Religious War Of Blame” – Chimaroke Nnamani Launches Fresh Attack On Obi

The senator representing Enugu East in the National Assembly, Chimaroke Nnamani, on Monday continued his criticism of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the last general election.

TOP MEDIA reports that in a Twitter post, the former Enugu State governor accused Obi of instigating Igbo people to vote across religious and ethnic lines.

He wrote: “Igbo Land in 2023: Experience in Trancelike Voting. This has been an election like no other. Under the direction of a Practiced Cult Leader and severe influence of an Opium of Religious Brain washing and Nigerian Negligence syndrome. Igbo voted in millions. Brother against brother! Sister against sister! Students against benefactors! Insults, ewu, idiot, traitor! Children threatening and victimising their parents! Clergy threatening denial of Holy Communion and in extreme cases excommunication. Igbo talking in “Political tongues “

“Voting under an extreme persecution complex and Christian crusade against the Muslim lords. Like the coming of the White man to our land. Things fell apart! And the Center could not hold! Mr Obi one of us, ill trained, poorly equipped, shrill voiced with perpetual monk like mien. Scratched through the Big varsity in Nsukka after 8 years combining the study of Philosophy and vague trading, submitting combined GCE/WAEC to INEC. Transformed into another “Peoples’ General now leading a Religious war of Blame.

“Post election with onset of “Buyer Remorse”. Traumatic victims of Group, Peer, Tribal, Religious and Socio-Political upheaval ask! What the F… happened? An answer Posterity will demand from Mr Obi or rather General Obi.”

Nnamani’s remark comes a day after Valentine Obienyem, a media aide to Obi said the leaked viral audio of his principal’s conversation with the founder of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, was edited out of context.

Obienyem also claimed ‘our Nnewi prodigal brother’ is responsible for the leak.

In the audio clip, Obi seemed to be urging Oyedepo to encourage Christians to vote for him. The Labour Party candidate’s entreaties followed the decision of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to field a Muslim-Muslim ticket, with Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.
