It is with great pride that I celebrate my mentor, Engr. Sheriff Babatunde Lamidi, on his recent appointment as the Director of Petroleum and Solid Minerals in the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Lagos Chapter. As someone who has been personally guided by Engr. Lamidi, I have seen the impact of his mentorship on over 10,000 students, including myself. His unwavering commitment to academic excellence, research, and career development has changed the lives of countless young individuals.
Engr. Lamidi, a distinguished author, educator, and researcher, has continually inspired us with his leadership in the Lead and Mentor initiative, where he has helped students secure scholarships and achieve career goals, regardless of their academic background. His recent inauguration alongside other directorates signifies a new chapter in his already impactful career. His influence stretches beyond the classroom, reaching into career-building and innovation, where he continues to blaze the trail.
As he takes on this vital role in the NYCN, I have no doubt that his leadership will usher in significant progress for youth empowerment in Lagos and beyond. Congratulations once again, Engr. Lamidi—your achievements serve as a beacon for all of us!
A heartfelt thank you to the NYCN Lagos State Chapter and its dynamic chairman, Engr. Adigun Ibrahim, for their outstanding leadership and commitment to youth empowerment. Under Engr. Ibrahim’s exemplary guidance, the chapter has continued to set a high standard in recognizing and celebrating individuals like Engr. Sheriff, whose appointment is a reflection of his exceptional contributions to youth development and community advancement both locally and internationally. The foresight and dedication of NYCN, particularly in spotlighting those who have made significant impacts, deserve immense praise. We are deeply grateful for the chapter’s tireless efforts in driving positive change and fostering growth among the youth, ensuring a brighter future for all.
